Navy Supply Corps Memorial

San Diego, California

2014

This memorial is dedicated to the Officers, Enlisted Sailors, and Civilians of the U.S. Navy Supply Corps who served in the Pacific Theater during the Second World War. At a time of great peril to our nation, the Navy Supply Corps provided food, fuel, ammunition, and repair services where it was needed and in advance of requirements to allow the fighting fleets to move across great distances, conduct large-scale offensive action, and bring the fight to the enemy. The Navy Supply Corps was the vital link that made victory in the Pacific possible. Although faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges, these intrepid Americans responded with high professional skill, responsiveness, flexibility, selfless dedication, ingenuity, and zeal to furnish the sinews of victory.
