Memorial to Mayor Harold Washington of Chicago

The proposed doric style temple memorial is in honor of Harold Washington the Forty-Second Mayor of Chicago Harold Washington. Mr Washington was the first African-American Mayor of Chicago from 1983-87. Mayor Harold Washington loved Chicago and Classical Architecture and granite memorial will pay homage to Mr. Washington his love for Chicago and Classical Architecture. The proposed memorial takes the form of a temple placed within a walled garden set off from the rest of the cemetery by a grove of Trees.
